The William Brearley Home

McIver Williamson of Darlington, SC acquired the property and built the home in 1912, and named it for his boyhood pastor, the Reverend William Brearley. Originally a guest lodge for primarily ministers attending conferences, now families, groups, church professionals, children and youth of all ages, and individuals enjoy the peaceful mountain setting and warm hospitality.

The William Brearley Home has 16 guestrooms and 8 shared/assigned hall bathrooms on the three floors of the home. The first floor also has a spacious lobby with a gas log fireplace and a meeting room where reading, table games, spiritual studies, worship, and end of the day conversations take place. It also has a front porch overlooking the valley that provides opportunities for enjoying the view, reading and developing friendships. The ground floor houses the guest kitchen and the breakfast dining room.

Suite Carolina

An addition to the house in 1985 and renovated in 2008. It features a queen size bed, sitting area, kitchen, and private bath. A true shift into moderately luxurious lodging at a great rate!
